Run With US
We are an LGBT+ inclusive running group
Blackpool Frontrunners is a member of International Frontrunners – a world-wide movement of LGBT+ inclusive running groups. Although the affiliation to the LGBT+ community is important to us, you don’t have to be LGBT+ to run with us. Many Frontrunner members are community allies.
Every Sunday and Tuesday at Stanley Park
We meet every Sunday at Stanley Park in the heart of Blackpool. Our meeting point is the Cocker Clock Tower – we set off at 10am on Sunday and 6pm on Tuesday for a 5km route around the paths of the park or around Marton Mere.
- Car parking is available at the Blackpool Sports Centre or by the Park’s Café. You can also park on many of the streets around the park.
- Public, free to use toilets can be found next to the bowling greens near the Italian Gardens.
- Changing facilities are available at the Sports Centre and is chargeable.
Not just running
The group is just as much about social interaction – so we run at a pace to hold a conversation. We also head to a coffee shop/ café after our run to get a coffee. We do plan to hold more events throughout the year to get together socially (without the running!).
Simply come along one Sunday for 10am. You can get in touch before hand, but this isn’t mandatory
Absolutely. All we ask is that you can keep going for around 30mins – doesn’t matter how slowly!
Some of the group may run ahead slightly, but they will make sure they run back periodically to make sure you aren’t left behind.
Joining a group can cause anxiety – we get that. Drop us an email and we will arrange to meet you ahead of time so you don’t need to arrive alone.
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will try to answer.
